The Allen-Bradley T5A2L1 is a PanelView 550 Touchscreen Human Machine Interface (HMI) device used to provide real-time process interaction between the operator, machine or process. It belongs to the Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. It communicates to the process via a built-in DH485 communication port. Partner devices such as Allen-Bradley PLCs (PLC5, MicroLogix, SLC), with CompactLogix and ControlLogix through communication converters. It can be also partnered with protocol converter, gateways and 3rd party devices. The PanelView 550 has a 5.5 monochrome screen with replaceable backlight installed. The backlight has a lifespan of 100,000 hr LED. The same screen functions as the operator interface as it is installed with 128 touch cells with expected actuation life of 1 million presses. Process objects can be directly pressed from the screen to initiate operator control and commands. PanelView 550 application is made with the PanelBuilder32 software, a legacy Microsoft Windows application made by Allen-Bradley to design process mimic display and configure user interface for process control. The 2711-T5A2L1 PanelView 550 has a dimension of 152 x 185 x 82 millimeters (6.0 x 7.28 x 3.20) with a weight of 0.93 kilograms (1.48 pounds).
