The D100AIM2 is a programming controller and a microdevice that belongs to Eaton Cutler-Hammer’s D100 series. This micro programmable device allows the user to access the full range of requirements in a small programmed device. The D100AIM2 basically has 2 blocks; one is a controller block, while the other is an expander block. The D100AIM2 is small in size and does not have much weight. It contains a keyboard and a small display, as well as several terminals to helps the user set it up with computers. The D100AIM2 comes really to install; this device only needs to be connected to power, and the input and output attached to the right slots. The controller also has expansion units, which provide additional input and output support. The D100AIM2 has 2 analog channels, which can be used with 14 I/O, 20A, and 40A controllers. Each analog input channel comes equipped with 12 factory-set points, which help to control the temperature. The D100AIM2 is a stand-alone system; it includes everything the user needs, including an input, an output, a power supply, a RAM, an LED, and more. In addition, the user can attach additional inputs and outputs via this module’s expansion modules. Before installing the D100AIM2, ensure that it is being installed in a controlled and suitable temperature and that the surrounding relative humidity is less than 95%. Be aware that for long-term storage, a humidity greater than 60% could lead to damage to the module, and that this module does not require a high voltage. The power to this device must be smooth and consistent; even an interruption of 10 milliseconds or more will stop the operations that the D100AIM2 is controlling. Additionally, this device has four LED lights in the front to help diagnosis any errors that may occur in the device or the system.
