The D100CAA40H is a TRIAC from the Eaton Cutler-Hammer production line. It falls into the 40 I/O high-speed controllers group, as it is a semiconductor device with three terminals that is used to control the current. It is also a bidirectional device. The 40 I/O has 24 inputs and 16 outputs and is build up in the programmable read-only memory (PROM) writer feature. Its expandable input/output capacity can range up to 120 I/O. These high-speed controller units are required only when a system with more than 80 I/O is used. The programming for the D100CAA40H is either completed with the keyboard or through the hand-held programmers. Both the keyboard and the hand-held programmers must be enabled with D100 software; both of them have the keys and the labels that are needed to program the controllers.
The TRIAC D100CAA40H is used for a D100 series that has a memory size of 1K and a memory type of RAM, EE PROM, or UV. The D100 series modules have 16 timers and 16 counters, allowing the PLCs to function properly. The input-output range per system for the D100CAA40H equipped PLC is between 20 and 80. Rather than the IBM programming software, the D100CAA40H uses the manual way of programming. The D100CAA40H helps program the analog capable models.The D100CAA40H has 115 Volt AC power supply. This series has a computer network that ranges up to 16 units; the TRIAC is a much-needed semiconductor device for the high-speed controller's group.
