The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S801N37P3S open-type soft starter is a high-performance multi-function 3-pole reduced voltage soft starter that is designed to provide smooth acceleration and deceleration of 3-phase industrial motors. The Eaton S801 family of industrial-based soft starters offers high-performance motor control in a small package. They come with built-in overload protection that enhances motor safety, and they are easy to install. The S801N37P3S soft starter has a carrying current capacity of 37 Amps, and an operating voltage range of 200 to 600 Volts AC. It has an impulse voltage rating of 6000 Volts AC and an insulated voltage rating of 660 Volts AC. The S801N37P3S soft starter has a standard ramp time range of 0.5 to 180 seconds and a programmable overload setting of 30% to 100% of the rated unit's current.
The S801N37P3S soft starter offers 3 user-selectable start modes, and if extended stopping is required, such as in high-friction load applications, the soft stop mode is enabled to prevent any damages that may result from a sudden stop. The S801N37P3S soft starter has a pump control option that eliminates the damaging water hammering effect in pumping applications. The S801N37P3S soft starter has a 24 Volts DC control option that enhances user and equipment protection. It has 3-pole wiring and load and line side terminals. The S801N37P3S soft starter can be installed in a new position onto an existing enclosure by using a mounting plate. It comes with an easy-to-use and easy-to-read control interface module for quick configuration and reduced commissioning time. The S801N37P3S soft starter is designed to operate within a -30 to 50 degrees Celsius temperature range, without de-rating, and it is suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions.
