The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S811R10P3S soft starter is a soft starter in a variable speed drive system with 105 Amps of the maximum current rating. This device offers a wide range of parameters for perfect 3-phase motor acceleration and stopping. It is fully tested and often installed in various industrial applications like conveyor, elevator, and pump applications. It is a ready-to-connect motor speed control solution that can be installed in a few simple steps and it is easily configured via its human-machine interface. The S811R10P3S soft starter starts motors with ramped voltage control or with current limiting. It can also engage the kick start option and apply soft stop operation in high-friction loads systems where a quick stop may cause product or system damage. The S811R10P3S soft starter is a reduced voltage motor starter that is capable of working with 200 to 600 Volts AC voltage and it requires 24 Volts DC of control power supply voltage. It is a 110-millimeter framed device that is packed in a plastic housing with perforations for efficient heat transfer. The unit supports a wide operating temperature range (-30 to 50 degrees Celsius).
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S811R10P3S soft starter has 2 communication ports (RJ-45 connectors) called Quick Connect ports or QC ports. These ports are used to connect to the Ethernet/Modbus and the DeviceNet networks. The S811R10P3S soft starter is delivered with the pump control option. This means that this soft starter is armed with sophisticated pump control mechanisms that are applicable to both the starting and stopping modes. This feature is engineered to minimize the pressure surges that are responsible for the water hammer phenomenon.
