The Eaton S811T30N3S Open Soft Starter operates with 30 Amps, a 200-600V Operating Voltage, and a 47-63 Hz Operating Frequency. It has a 200 mm Frame Size and Standard Features.
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer S811T30N3S motor starter is a reduced voltage solid-state motor starter. It can apply a 3-phase soft start in applications such as pump, rock crusher, wood chipper, conveyor, compressor, and bread mixer applications. The S811T30N3S motor starter has a 200-millimeter frame size, and it belongs to the Eaton Intelligent Technology series of motor starters called the S811 series. The unit can be upgraded with MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors or surge suppressors) that can be mounted on the line side or on the load side of the motor starter. The device can be positioned either horizontally or vertically, but there should be enough clearance (about 4 inches) around the soft starter for good air circulation.
The Eaton S811T30N3S motor starter has a current rating of 304 Amps and it requires a 200 to 600 Volts AC 3-phase power supply. It can digitally send information over relay outputs. Relay 1 is a Form A normally-open contact that closes when the bypass contactor is powered. This signal remains closed until the soft-stop is initiated. Relay 2 is a Form C normally-open contact that is programmed to close when there is a fault condition. The S811T30N3S motor starter can be programmed to act in a certain way in the case of a trip situation. It can be adjusted to automatically reset the trip as soon as the trip condition is no longer present. The other option is to configure the device to work in the manual reset mode. In this case, the operator must press the RESET button on the control panel of the unit to clear an alarm. The digital inputs on the unit are 24 Volts DC rated.
