The Eaton ED3030 circuit breaker is used for circuit protection for systems that need to be secured from electrical hazards. Every system used in an industrial environment needs a proper and reliable circuit breaker that will provide the necessary protection from unwanted events that may occur. This ED type circuit breaker has a Type F frame and a special molded case. The ED3030 is a complete breaker with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip units. Also, the circuit breaker features a load side terminal and it is part of the product Series C from Eaton. This device is a three-pole circuit breaker which provides significant protection for systems distributing a low level of voltage power. These circuit breakers will offer the necessary protection and ensure a safe working environment and also prevent equipment damage. The use of such circuit breakers will reduce costs and prevent current overloads and short circuits for any electrical device which is connected to the system.
The ED3030 circuit breaker operates on 240 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC power and its output current rating is 30 Amps. Generally, the Series C circuit breakers with an F frame and an ED designation have a continuous current rating of 15 to 225 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius. The ED3030 circuit breaker is a UL listed product and its interrupting rating is 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. Besides that, this circuit breaker operates at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. The dimensions of the ED3030 circuit breaker are a length of 858 millimeters (3.38 inches), a height of 104 millimeters (4.13 inches), and a width of 104 millimeters (4.13 inches). The weight of the device is approximately 2 kilograms (4.5 pounds). The breaker operates at temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) but it can be adjusted to withstand temperatures below freezing (as low as -20 degrees Celsius or -4 degrees Fahrenheit) and temperatures above 60 degrees Celsius (up to 70 degrees Celsius or 158 degrees Fahrenheit).
