The ED3050 is a Cutler-Hammer C Series circuit breaker. The ED3050 features the F frame type and it is also a three-pole circuit breaker. The voltage rating for the ED3050 is 240 Volts AC with 125 Volts DC capacity. The module also comes with an amperage rating of 50 Amps. As a Cutler-Hammer C Series F frame circuit breaker, the ED3050 is HACR rated, it is important to note that all the other F frame circuit breakers come with the HACR rating. In addition, the circuit breakers that carry an amperage of 10 to 30 Amps are high-intensity discharge use circuit breakers.
All the F frame circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed use. The circuit breakers with DC ratings are for the non-inductive circuits. These come with a time constant of 3 milliseconds minimum at 10 kA and a constant of 8 milliseconds at 22 kA. In addition, it is important to note that all the circuit breakers in the F frame C series are efficient for reverse feed use. The ED3050 comes with an RMS sensing feature. The ED3050 is also an FDE frame circuit breaker and the interrupting rate for the ED3050 at 480 Volts is 35 KVA. The ED3050 features the overtemperature trip capability and the long-delay thermal memory protection. Another common long delay protection feature that comes with the C series circuit breakers by Cutler-Hammer is the high load alarm protection feature. The ED3050 also has instantaneous override protection with the ground fault thermal memory protection as well.
