The EHD3030 is a circuit breaker module manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. It is a generic circuit breaker which can be used for a variety of applications. Because of its efficiency and high-quality features, it is normally used in industrial applications for switching and overload protection purposes. Popularly known as the Cutler-Hammer circuit breaker, this module can bear up to 30 Amps of current. The EHD3030 is a 3-pole module with voltage ratings of 250 Volts DC and 480 Volts AC. High voltage ratings enable it to be used for a wide range of industrial applications. This circuit breaker comes from the EHD C-series which is specifically designed to fit in small places. The EHD3030 has an easy-to-install rail mounting method and its light weight makes it a preferable circuit breaker module for portable equipment. Furthermore, it is a good choice for panelboards, motor control circuits, and switchboards.
The thermal magnetic casing provides protection to the internal circuitry of the breaker. Therefore, it can easily withstand tough industrial environments. At the maximum current, the breaker can work for up to 40 degrees Celsius. Being a generic module, there is no option for interchangeability of the trip unit. The EHD3030 can withhold up to 14 kilo-Amps interrupt current in AC applications. Because of such a high interrupt current capacity, the device can be re-used multiple times saving money, especially in industrial settings. One of the most important applications of these breakers includes switch gears and in distribution systems. High-value specs become critical to the safety of the equipment that is connected through these circuit breakers.
