The FD4030 is a complete Series C circuit breaker from an Eaton Corporation. The FD4030 is an F-Frame FD type circuit breaker. FD circuit breakers can support 15 to 225 Amps applications. F-Frame circuit breakers from Eaton Corporation are HACR rated and also suitable for reverse feed applications. The FD4030 is suitable for HID applications. The current rating for the FD4030 is 30 Amps and the voltage ratings are 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. The frequencies that are supported are 50 to 60 Hertz and the FD4030 is rated at 65 kilo-amps with an interrupting capacity of 240 Volts AC, a 35 kiloamp interrupting capacity at 480 Volts AC, and 18 kiloamps interrupting capacity at 600 Volts AC. It is rated for a 10-kiloamp interrupting capacity of 250 Volts DC. The FD4030 uses a fixed thermal, fixed magnetic trip unit. It is a 4-pole circuit breaker. It also includes load side terminals which are made of steel. Recommended wire for termination is copper or aluminum with #14 to #1/0 AWG.
The FD4030 should only be installed by trained personnel and circuit breaker specifications should be compared to requirements to ensure suitability for installation. Furthermore, to prevent injury and equipment damage during installation the circuit breaker should be in the off state, the associated electrical equipment should be de-energized and the working area should be clear of voltages. Generally accepted safety procedures should also be followed. The FD4030 is an F-frame circuit breaker with dimensions of 6 x 5.5 x 3.38 inches. The weight of the circuit breaker is around 6 pounds.
