The FD4040 is a genuine Eaton Cutler-Hammer 4-pole circuit breaker that can be used in high intensity (i.e. HID) industrial settings. This unit, which belongs to Series S, is HACR-rated and it comes with an F Frame. This module can protect electrical appliances that operate with a current between 10 and 225 Amps—making it one of the most versatile circuit breakers users can purchase for industrial use. The FD4040 has a complete molded case and it is outfitted with a fixed thermal and magnetic trip to optimize its performance. At 480 Volts AC, the FD4040 operates at an interrupt rating of 35 kAIC. The module can operate at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hertz and it can be used in industrial settings that rely on reverse feed. Also, the FD4040 can be used with high-intensity discharge (i.e. HID) electrical appliances.
Suitable for use with panel boards, industrial switchboards, demanding motor control centers, and busway industrial applications, this circuit breaker offers dependable branch-based circuit protection. This FD type of circuit breaker has load side terminals and it comes with a voltage rating of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The FD4040’s current rating is 40 Amps.
