The FD4200 is a circuit breaker with a molded case that is part of the C Series of circuit protection devices developed by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Eaton is one of the most important producers of top-level circuit protection solutions that could significantly enhance a mechanical system’s capabilities. The Series C circuit breakers will add much-needed reliability, efficiency, and safety to a power system, and besides that, these breakers provide plenty of different features and options that could help in adjusting the system according to requirements of the application. The FD4200 circuit breaker, as well as the other circuit breaker devices from this series, is certified as a UL/CSA-only device and it is meant for the domestic market. The Series C circuit breakers have fewer options available but the users can still utilize a variety of features and choose a circuit breaker with 8 different frames that are offered in different amperage ratings. The accessories for these circuit breakers are mostly factory installed and they are available through covers.
The FD4200 is built with a complete breaker frame type and it includes a fixed thermal and a fixed magnetic trip type. In addition to that, this circuit breaker has 4 poles and it comes with line and load terminals. The voltage rating of the FD4200 is 600 Volts AC/250 Volts DC while its continuous amperage (at 40 degrees Celsius) rating is 200 Amps. Besides that, it should be noted that the FD4200 molded case circuit breaker has an interrupting rating of 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and one of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC and a 50 to 60 Hertz frequency rating. The FD circuit breaker features an F frame and dimensions that include a length of 85.8 millimeters (3.38 inches), a height of 139.7 millimeters (5.5 inches), and a width of 139.7 millimeters (5.5 inches).
