The FDB2025 is a 2-pole Series C Type FDB Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker manufactured by Cutler-Hammer. The module’s rated maximum operating voltage is 600 Volts AC, at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. It offers 14 kAIC of interrupting capacity at this maximum voltage. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FDB2025 is a low-voltage circuit protection device that complies with UL standards. This makes it suitable to be implemented worldwide in both UL and IEC/EN applications within its specified ratings. The FDB2025 circuit breaker features non-interchangeable trip units that are thermal-magnetic in nature. It is suited for applications with no more than 25 Amps of current, to ensure protection against overloading. It also has main and branch circuit protection capabilities that are applicable to a wide variety of electrical parts used in electrical installations, such as electrical conductors, motors, frequency converters, and motor starters.
The dimensions of the Cutler-Hammer FDB2025 are 2.75 inches x 6.00 inches x 3.38 inches. There is a specially designed handle visible on the central front part of the module. It clearly indicates the status of this protective device which can be on, off, or tripped. The terminals for this device are delivered separately, which makes this molded case circuit breaker suitable for field wiring. This implies that the device can be installed in already assembled distribution boards and control cabinets, but it stays flexible for on-site installation into a customer system. When mounting the Eaton FDB2025, the users should pre-drill mounting holes by using a bolt drilling plan delivered with the module.
