The Eaton Cutler-Hammer FDB2035 is a molded case circuit breaker. This is a compact device with a highlighted industrial design. It uses thermal-magnetic braking trip units that are non-interchangeable. When it was presented to the market many years ago, this innovative device brought many valuable features to the global market and global industries. These features included an industrial housing and a mechanical moving parts design that meets multi-national standards, and also UL listed field mountable accessories that are attachable with 1 click. Today, the FDB2035 is a proven protective device that has a use in virtually every low-current industrial field.
The Eaton FDB2035 molded case circuit breaker covers short-current protection for applications with less than 35 Amps of current. It is a 2-pole module with a breaking capacity rating of 14 kAIC at 600 Volts AC. It features an F frame size with enclosure dimensions of 3.38 inches x 2.75 inches x 6.00 inches. In a situation when a short circuit or tripping condition is detected by the device, the contacts are forced apart, and they cannot be joined together by means of the handle until the fault condition is cleared. Only when there are no more errors is it possible for the handle that is made for the manual operation of the device to be pulled to the “off” position and then to the “on” position to reactivate the current conduction through the device. The FDB2035 complete molded case circuit breaker belongs to the C Series of Eaton’s MCCBs, and it is classified as an FDB type of circuit breaker. The frequency rating of the unit is 50 or 60 Hertz. Its total weight is approximated at 3 pounds.
