About HFD2020

The HFD2020 is a 2-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker that has been designed and manufactured by Cutler-Hammer. It fits into frame F and it is distributed by the Eaton Corporation. Circuit breakers act as an additional means of protection to all the equipment connected to them. Their functioning is based on the application of electromagnets located in series and with the load current which causes a trip action. This kind of device is essential on electrical systems since it offers protection against short-circuits, fires, and damage to equipment caused by abnormal lineal transients. The Cutler-Hammer HFD2020 2-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker operates with a voltage of 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC maximum. It features a continuous current rating of 20 Amps maximum at 40 degrees Celsius, which is the standard temperature for calibration. If the application requires a higher temperature, the breaker will derate by at least 20%.
