The HFDE308036 is an electronic circuit breaker which belongs to the Series Cline of circuit breakers from Eaton. HFDE circuit breakers are available for applications requiring 15 to 225 Amps of current trip ratings. The HFDE308036 is a 3-pole device which is rated for 80 Amps of current. Voltage ratings are 250 Volts DC and 600 Volts AC (at 50/60 Hertz). At 240 Volts AC, the device is rated for 100 kAIC. At 480 Volts AC, it is rated for 65 kAIC. At 600 Volts AC, the device is rated for 25 kAIC. The HFDE308036 uses the Digitrip 310 RMS trip unit with the electronic LSIG trip type which enables electronic sensing and tripping. As a result, the inverse time delay release does not depend on the ambient temperature.
Load side terminals are included with the device. Because the HFDE308036 is a factory-sealed device, accessories should be installed before mounting and connecting the breaker. Furthermore, it should be ensured that all voltages are absent from work area because high voltages in energized electrical devices can lead to death or serious injury. A test port on the HFDE308036 enables the unit to be tested via a test kit which can perform the power-up, short delay, and long delay functions. A status LED is also provided to display the operational status of the trip unit. The HFDE308036 is available is an F-frame circuit breaker with dimensions of 6 x 3.38 x 4.13 inches.
