About GD3015D

The Eaton Series C GD3015D is a complete GD type of circuit breaker. It is rated at 15 Amps, 480 Volts AC, and at 125 or 250 Volts DC. The interrupt capacity specifications for the GD3015D are 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and 14 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The GD3015D supports 50 and 60 Hertz frequencies. The 3-pole GD3015D includes an integrated and non-interchangeable trip module which is of the thermal-magnetic type. Line and load terminals are also provided with the circuit breaker. When aluminum conductors are used, a joint compound should also be used to prevent the terminal from overheating (which could lead to breaker damage or random tripping).

The UL-rated GD3015D is factory-sealed after the internal accessory installation. Available accessories include a lock dog, a padlockable handle, an undervoltage release mechanism, and a shunt trip. The breaker specifications should be checked prior to the installation. The breaker should also be inspected for damage before installation. The installation procedure consists of mounting the breaker and then connecting and torquing the connections. The installation of the breaker should be performed by trained personnel. During installation, the breaker should be powered off to prevent potential injury to the installers and to prevent damage to the equipment. All generally accepted safety procedures should also be followed. The field testing of the breaker should be performed in accordance with the NEMA standards. The G-frame GD3015D has 2.1 pounds of weight. Its dimensions are 6.3 x 3.6 x 3.6 inches. The 3 methods of mounting the breaker are the hardware, DIN rail, and the base mounting plate methods.
