The HJD3225 from the Eaton Corporation is a molded case HJD-type circuit breaker. HJD circuit breakers are rated for a maximum of 600 Volts AC. The HJD3225 utilizes a fixed thermal-magnetic tripping unit. The HJD3225 is a 3-pole device. The continuous current rating for the HJD3225 is 225 Amps. Voltage ratings for the HJD3225 are 250 Volts DC and 600 Volts AC. Aluminum terminals for both the load and line sides are provided with the breaker. The HJD3225 is rated for 65 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity at 240 Volts AC, 100 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity at 480 Volts AC, and 25 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity at 600 Volts AC. At 250 Volts DC, it is rated for 22 kilo-Amps interrupt capacity.
The HJD3225 is UL-listed. To comply with the UL standards, it is sealed at the factory. Therefore, all accessories should be installed prior to the circuit breaker sealing at the factory. Field installation of accessories can be performed where local codes and regulations permit it. To prevent damage to property and serious injury to the staff involved in the installation, maintenance, and testing, the HJD3225 should be installed, serviced, and tested only while the following precautions are being followed: the HJD3225 should be powered off, the working area should be clear of electrical voltages, and the associated electrical equipment should be off. The HJD3225 comes in a J-frame. Its approximate weight is 12.5 pounds. The dimensions of the HJD3225 are: 10 inches in height, 4.13 inches in width, and 3.06 inches in depth.
