The Eaton JT2100T is a trip unit. It is a molded trip unit and it is developed by the Eaton Corporation. The JT2100T has a thermal magnetic trip unit and it has 2 poles. The maximum current trip rating of the JT2100T is 100 Amps. The trip unit should be operated in an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The trip unit creates a high-speed open action using the magnetic fields which are created due to the high input currents. The trip units have a toggle type of mechanism which prevents short circuits due to closed contacts. This increases the safety of the device.
