Eaton Cutler Hammer is the manufacturer of many circuit breaker devices. It has a wide range of options in the breaker device. The KDB2200W part of the C series of breaker device. It comes inside a K-frame body and has both Thermal and magnetic protection. It is a two-pole device with an amperage of 200 Amperes. It uses a Bolt-On connection. This molded case circuit breaker device has a factory set running temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. It is mostly used with single-phase AC device but also comes with safe poles for DC supply.
The KDB2200W comes with a wide range of functions. It has both Long time and Instantaneous trip functions. The interrupt rating for 240 Volts AC is 65 kAIC and for 480 Volts AC is 35 kAIC. Depending upon the load on the device, it runs on a different frequency in the range of 50 to 60 Hertz. Safety is a topmost requirement in such devices. This device has been certified with UL rating which is a global safety standard. The device weighs 11.5 pounds and is 4.11 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches in length, height, and width. The KDB2200W comes with an On/Off lever to power on and power off the circuit breaker device. There is a switch that is manually used to trip the device is also present. It has a high speed ‘blow-open’ action. There are no neutral poles present in this device and hence no neutral protection is available. This device is widely used in engine generators and mining applications.
