The KT3250T is an Eaton C Series electronic molded case circuit protector trip unit. The module comes with the shipping dimensions that are a height of 5.4 inches, a width of 4.4 inches, and a length of 6.9 inches. The net shipping weight for the KT3250T is 1 pound per unit. Being a UL 489-certified circuit breaker; the KT3250T provides protection for the service entrance, and it provides feeder and branch circuit protection. The module comes as a 3-pole circuit breaker with a current of 250 Amps, and a maximum voltage rating of 600 Volts AC. The KT3250T also features the shunt option and an undervoltage release option. The KT3250T also comes with adjustable thermal and magnetic trip unit options, and an optional alarm switch is also provided. The module also features the UL and the CSA approvals.
Eaton circuit breakers are known to offer outstanding performance characteristics. This is made possible since the units come with an HACR rating and are sold with non-alteration trip units making, them suitable for the reverse feed use. The KT3250T comes with a performance time constant of 3 milliseconds minimum at 10 Amps and of 8 milliseconds minimum at 22 kiloamperes. The KT3250T also features the toggle type handle that is mechanically trip-free. Therefore, the contacts cannot be held closed against the short circuit currents. In case there is an overload or a short circuit, the KT3250T will indicate this through the toggle handle position. For a tripped unit, the handle will be in the tripped position. This KT3250T feature makes it able to carry out troubleshooting and it comes as an enhanced safety feature.
