The HLD3350 is a molded case circuit breaker with an interchangeable trip unit that is designed and manufactured by Eaton/Westinghouse/Cutler-Hammer. The HLD3350 has an amperage rating of 350 Amps and a high interrupt rating of 100 Kiloamps interrupt capacity at 240 Volts AC and 65 Kiloamps interrupt capacity at 480 Volts AC and a frequency ranging from 50 to 60 Hertz. The line and load terminals found on the HLD3350 are made from aluminum to conduct electricity efficiently. The trip unit operates on a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic tripping mechanism. The circuit breaker can be used in panelboards for branch or main circuit protection.
The circuit breaker has to be user assembled if field replacement of internal components will be necessary in the future. The Westinghouse HLD3350 is a Series C molded case circuit breaker and it is carefully conditioned to be used in panelboards, motor control centers, switchboards, and busway applications in order to provide circuit protection. The HLD3350, as with other circuit breakers, from the Eaton/Westinghouse/Cutler-Hammer Corporation, conforms to several international standards. The maximum rated operating voltage for the circuit breaker stands at 600 Volts AC for an AC driven circuit and it stands at 250 Volts DC for a DC driven circuit. The HLD3350 has 3 poles and it has an L-Frame size. The Eaton HLD3350 has a length of 4.06 inches, a height of 8.25 inches, and a width of 8.25 inches. Additionally, the circuit breaker has a weight of 21 pounds. For certifications, the HLD3350 has the Underwriters Laboratory (UL 489), CSA, IEC, and CE certifications which ensure that the breaker has global application. Note that the HLD3350 employs the LT3350T device for its tripping unit.
