The LD3300 is a 600 Volts feed-thru circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton/Westinghouse. The breaker allows for the individual changing of the trip unit in the case of a faulty trip unit instead of replacing the entire breaker. The interchanging of the trip unit is only possible if the LD3300 was purchased in individual components. If the LD3300 is purchased as a complete circuit breaker, it is factory sealed, making the trip unit non-interchangeable. The LD3300 has 3 poles and it has load and line side lug terminals. The LD3300 complete molded case circuit breaker is the Type LD, it has an L-frame type, and it belongs to Series C of molded case circuit breakers from Eaton. The AIC rating for the LD3300 is 35000 AIC at 480 Volts AC, 65000 AIC at 240 Volts AC, 25000 AIC at 600 Volts AC, and 22000 AIC at 250 Volts DC.
The LD3300 uses an adjustable thermal adjustable magnetic trip mechanism and it accommodates a maximum current of 300 Amps plus an operating DC voltage of 250 Volts. The circuit breaker is CE approved, it measures 13 inches x 10 inches x 8 inches and it has a gross weight of 21 pounds. The LD3300 accommodates an optional shunt trip which provides remote controlled electrical tripping for the circuit breaker. The shunt trip comprises an intermittent rated solenoid, a tripping plunger, and a cutoff switch connected to a plug-in module. The LD3300 operates best in environments with a maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and it is usable in systems powered by a 3-phase power supply. The terminals for the LD3300 are made of aluminum.
