The HMDL3600 is a circuit breaker from the C Series of molded circuit breakers. This breaker is in the M frame category and it is a thermal-magnetic breaker with interchangeable trip units. The company that designs, manufactures, and distributes this breaker is Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HMDL3600 circuit breaker has a voltage line of up to 600 Volts AC and a continuous amperage of 600 Amps, which is one of the highest amperage ratings in its category. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HMDL3600 circuit breaker is a high interrupting capacity breaker, with 65 symmetrical Amps at a voltage of 480 Volts AC. This breaker is capable of operating at 100% of its capacity as long as a series of operating steps are followed.
The calibration temperature must not exceed 40 degrees Celsius, and if it does, the breaker will need a new calibration process. The 75 degrees Celsius rated cable must be kept as short as possible, and if the mounting place for this breaker is within an enclosure, it will need to be derated by at least 20% due to slow heat dissipation.
