The MT3400T is a molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker belongs to Series C of the Eaton MT Type molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker features an interchangeable trip unit or a programmer unit consisting of long-time and instantaneous trip functions, 400 Amps of current rating, 3 poles, 600 Volts AC, and an interrupt rating of 35 kA at 600 Volts AC. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker is contained in an M-Frame type of enclosure. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker feature a 3R rainproof surface mounting that keeps the circuit breaker enclosed in a weatherproof sheet steel cover for main disconnecting and as a protection device for the feeder circuits. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker is equipped with a wire seal for securing the circuit breaker cover while it is on the trip unit to prevent adjustments after the settings are first made. The trip LED module is field-mounted on the Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker’s Digitrip RMS 310+ trip unit to provide the cause of the trip indication through the circuit breaker’s LED display.
The Trip LED module is reset after the Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker resets. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker has an auxiliary power device that performs a trip test when there is a lack of control power in the circuit breaker. A 24 Volts DC power supply is necessary for the circuit breaker Digitrip OPTIM trip unit for communication in the main Eaton PowerNet network. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker also features a breaker interface module for accessing, configuring, testing, and displaying information for the OPTIM trip unit and other components. The breaker interface module features 8 buttons for operation, 18 LEDs, and a graphical time/current curve to show the Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker’s operation status, protection status, energy monitoring, and operational information. The Cutler-Hammer MT3400T circuit breaker can be equipped with the IQ energy sentinel feature as a highly accurate, microprocessor-based, circuit breaker-installed module to monitor the energy and power readings.
