The ND3800T52W is a 3-pole Type ND Series C Digitrip OPTIM 550 electronic circuit breaker that is manufactured by Eaton. It is rated 600 Volts AC and 800 Amps, and it has an N Frame and interchangeable rating plugs. It features a Digitrip OPTIM 550 trip unit that provides true RMS sensing and it reduces the nuisance trips that may increase downtime. The ND3800T52W circuit breaker provides circuit protection and overload protection in 3-phase industrial systems. A discriminator and instantaneous override function for instantaneous protection are available on the ND3800T52W circuit breaker. It has a standard interrupting and over-temperature trip setting designed to curtail the overheating that may result from quick successive fault currents.
The ND3800T52W circuit breaker is equipped with a long thermal memory, 2 to 24 seconds of delay time, 100 to 500 milliseconds of ground fault delay time, 100 milliseconds of short delay time, and a ground fault thermal memory. The ND3800T52W circuit breaker offers easy operation and it allows for the use of add-ons that extend its capabilities. Like all Series C breakers by Eaton, it is suitable for reverse feed use and it works well even in systems that require walking beam interlock mechanisms that allow other circuit breakers that are similar to the ND3800T52W circuit breaker to be connected side-by-side in a configuration that allows only 1 breaker to be operational at a given time. The molded case of the ND3800T52W circuit breaker makes it suitable for use in industrial and field environments that are not exposed to direct rainfall or to corrosive materials that may damage its components or reduce its performance. In addition, a separate neutral link may be required during its installation for further protection.
