The EGE3070FFG Series G Circuit Breaker by Eaton Cutler-Hammer is a general purpose circuit breaker with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip units, which provide outstanding branch or main circuit protection in a variety of low-voltage applications. This molded case circuit breaker is compactly designed to save space, and it has field replaceable components, which allows for easy and quick installation. The EGE3070FFG provides out-of-the-box protection by creating high-speed “blow-open” trip action using the thermal magnetic force created by high-level fault currents. It has a current rating of 70 Amps, with an operating voltage of 480 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz, and it provides 18KAIC, 25 KAIC, and 35 KAIC maximum interrupting ratings at 600 Volts, 480 Volts, and 240 Volts AC.
It is designed with box-like line/load terminals which are made of 2.5 to 95-millimeter square solid/stranded copper/ aluminum conductor, and it comes with a 3-pole design suitable for 1-phase applications. The EGE3070FFG provides 690 Volts of voltage insulation along the auxiliary circuit and the main conducting path, it provides 6000 Volts of rated impulse voltage along the main conducting path. Its operating mechanism consists of a lockable rotary drive, which serves as a switching device, indicating the ON, OFF, and TRIPPED positions, and it has a rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 10 KA. The EGE3070FFG has a rated permissible temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius (-4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit), and it has a rated plant protection permissible load of 87% at 55 degrees Celsius. It is installed using the DIN rail mounting option, and it weighs approximately 1.4 kilograms (3.1 pounds) with total mounting dimensions of 139.7 x 76.2 x 76 millimeters (5.5 x 3.0 x 2.9 inches).
