The EGH2030FFG Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a factory-assembled complete circuit breaker unit in the Eaton Cutler-Hammer G Series of circuit breakers that are used in most low-voltage distribution systems for both main and branch circuit protection. This breaker, like all Series G breakers, is designed to be compact and still maintain the same functionality with the Series C breakers (this is a distinct advantage over conventional breakers or any fusible devices). It has a nominal rating of 30 Amps, with a high interrupting capacity of 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and it is built for 600 Volts AC circuits. The EGH2030FFG has a fixed thermal-magnetic trip designed to provide instantaneous trip action via a bimetal thermal strip which deflects upon being heated by a load current, and a series of connected electromagnet trip elements which instantaneously trip the circuit when the circuit current exceeds the set value.
The EGH2030FFG, like all Series C devices, comes with a toggle type of trip-free operating mechanism designed to hold the breakers open in the event of a circuit overload, and also to indicate the breaker’s position, whether it is tripped, off, or on. It has 3 standard load and line side terminals made of copper/aluminum pressure steel and metric rated mounting hardware for easy field installation. The EGH2030FFG is designed for use within a 0 to 95% non-condensing and non-corrosive relative humidity condition, and it is 80% rated at 40 degrees Celsius, its designated temperature limit. The EGH2030FFG has a net weight of 0.91 kilograms (2.0 pounds), with mounting dimensions of 50.8 x 139.7 x 75.9 millimeters, and it also has the IEC, CSA, and UL certifications.
