The D100CD40 is a micro-programmable logic controller and is part of the Cutler-Hammer D100 series. It is a 40 I/O controller with a manual counter. This controller has a 115 Volt AC power supply and 24 Volt DC input voltage requirement. Aside from its hand-held programmer feature, this controller also features an LCD display with a 1k RAM memory size. The programs of this D100CD40 controller can be organized by a personal computer. These D100 Programmable Logic Controllers, including the D100CD40, are created to meet various industry demands. They are offered in different sizes and types and are typically resistant to most industrial electrical sounds. The computer programming of these controllers can be executed using a D100CCS35 (3.5-inch disk) or the D100CCS60 (5.25-inch disk) software. The programs can then be downloaded, uploaded, and stored on the disk. The D100 controllers are a stand-alone system. They have everything needed to become a complete system, including outputs, inputs, a power supply, a RAM memory, and diagnostic LEDs. The D100CD40 has a transistor type output that can switch a DC current only. It is faster, has a longer lifetime, and can switch a small current compared to relay and triac type outputs. As part of the 40 I/O controllers, the D100CD40 has 16 outputs and 24 inputs and has an expandable I/O capacity of up to 80 I/O. The ambient humidity for this controller should be less than 95% RH non-condensing. For long-term storage, the humidity percentage should not be more than 60% RH. For the D100CD40 to work best, the atmosphere should also be free from different pollutants and chemicals. These include metallic powders and corrosive or flammable gases.
