The D100DCR20 is a 20 I/O Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with a manual from Cutler-Hammer’s D100 Series. This module has a memory size of 1K RAM and EEPROM or a UV memory type; with 16 counters and 16 timers, this module also comes with 128 step shift register and 256 steps sequence. The scan time per 1k of memory is around 8 milliseconds. As with all Cutler-Hammer PLCs, the number of inputs and output can be increased through the use of expanders, without exceeding the maximum limit of units allowed for the system. As the Series name implies, the D100CR20A is programmable, thus increasing its data acquisition and control functions. Programming is carried out through a hand-held programmer with LCD display or directly via a Personal Computer (PC).
The D100CR20A has 20 I/O, consisting of twelve 24-Volt DC inputs and 8 relay type outputs. With the use of expanders, these inputs and outputs can be expanded to a maximum of 24 inputs and 16 outputs. It can store a program in the RAM (as battery backup) or a Programmable Read Only Memory (PROM) or on a PC disk. The D100CR20A operates efficiently between 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and should be stored at -15 to 75 degrees Celsius. The ambient humidity surrounding this module must be less than 95% in order to avoid water condensing. For long-term storage, this module’s humidity should be less than 60%. High voltage or high power control panels must not be located close to the controller, and this controller’s immediate atmosphere must be free from oil, mist, salt, organic solvents, conductive dust, flammable gases and HCI, H2S or any other corrosive gases.
