About 2711-T10G15L1

The 2711-T10G15L1 by Allen-Bradley is an industrial device made by Allen-Bradley capable of implementing high speed monitoring and controlling of process through the built-in screen, operator input area and communication port. The operator terminal provides process information and data to serve as the operator’s reference for control action. Unlike conventional controls wherein control and monitoring systems are installed on different areas of the plant, the 2711-T10G15L1 enables control in one location through the PanelView 1000 terminal itself. This aids to a more accurate and real-time process response. The operator visualizes the process through the 10-inch grayscale screen. The screen is installed with a backlight that is capable 50,000 hr 1/2 life at 25 °C (77 °F) operation. The screen is a dual-purpose component as it also serve as the operator interface. It has an embedded touch membrane capable of up to 1 million presses. The built-in ControNet communication enables a multi-node communication option as ControlNet protocol is capable of communicating with multiple devices. It uses a coaxial capable installed as the main trunk where nodes are connected via ControlNet taps. Sending and receiving data in full-duplex mode is supported by this protocol. The second RS-232 Printer Port can be used to communicate to an alarm printer and send print queues. The operator terminal’s runtime behavior is configured with the use of PanelBuilder32 software. This software is also a legacy software intended for use with all the PanelView Standard Operator Terminals including the 2711-T10G15L1. It is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows Xp and Vista Business. Latest operating software including Windows 7 and up, the software requires software configuration and adjustments. Only use a DC power supply to the terminal with a rated supply of 18-32VDC. The applications downloaded to the terminal is develop using PanelBuilder32 software.
