About 2711-B6C20L1

The 2711-B6C20L1 is a legacy dual communication port PanelView 600 operator terminal. It has a 5-inch visualization screen that enables process observation and monitoring. The screen comes with an active TFT matrix that is capable of displaying color coded animations for determining the status of equipment and devices. The screen has a halogen lit backlight with a lifespan of 50,000 hr 1/2 life at 25 °C (77 °F). The backlight is field replaceable by part number 2711-NL5. The Touchscreen and Keypad is capable of local and global functions. Local functions are screen dependent tasks that change from screen to screen. Global functions are functions that don ot change regardless of the actively displayed screen. Though this interfaces, the operator is capable of process interaction for the purpose of control and manipulation. Both interfaces are capable of up to 1 million actuations each. Other functions that can be activated by the interfaces are system dialogs, alarm acknowledgement, local and global functions. The 2711-B6C20L1 offers communication through Ethernet I/P. It is a flexible communication protocol where multiple partner devices can be connected through IP addresses. The secondary port, RS232 port is a printer port for sending print commands to any IBM enhanced character set printer or equivalent. Print command may be configured to send cyclically or through an operator defined trigger. Alarm list and messages can be sent through this port. The terminal is configured using PanelBuilder32 software. This software can be used to design the runtime graphics and properties of the system. Alarm, Tag trending, user and security are the other standard HMI functionalities that can be defined using this software. IT is powered by an DC source with a rated supply of 18…32V DC (24V DC nom). The terminal dimension is 192 x 290 x 116 mm 7.55 x 11.40 x 4.57 in and an approximate weight of 2.0 kg (4.4 lb).
