The 2711-T10C8 Human Machine Interface (HMI) product of Allen Bradley used in real-time process and operator interaction. The terminal is ideal for use in medium applications where more process objects are required to be displayed in the graphic area. The operator terminal comes with a Colored active matrix TFT 10-inch screen paired with a backlight that is capable of 50,000 hr 1/2 life at 25 °C (77 °F) and field replaceable with Allen Bradley part number 2711-NL6, 2711-NL7, 2711-NL89 and 27-11-NL10. The screen together with the touchscreen interface serves as the operator workspace for process analysis and interaction. The touchscreen interface enables the operator to input commands, process settings, process values, setpoints, commands, sequence and event triggers. The touchscreen is made up of 384 cells designed to work up to 1 million actuations for direct input to screen objects. Process connection is made through terminal’s built-in Data Highway Plus (DH+) port. This port allows real-time data exchange between DH+ compatible devices including Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC5, MicroLogix, SLC, ControlLogix), protocol gateways and 3rd party products. Alarms list and messages can be queued to an alarm printer through the secondary built-in RS232 printer port. Further improve or repair the terminal’s operation by maximizing the modularity of the terminal. The terminal has replaceable parts such as anti-glare overlays, backlight, Real-Time clock and add-on modules like interface modules, key label strips, mounting hardware, communication cables, power supply and terminal blocks can be separately purchased. Create the custom runtime user interface with the PanelBuilder32 software. The software is a legacy HMI software compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista business. Alternatively, it cun run with Windows 7 32-bit using the XP compatibility option, Windows 7-64 bit using Windows XP mode. For windows 8 and 10, a virtual machine running Windows XP SP3 is required. Runtime functionality is designed using the software including the graphic screens which represent the real-time process mimic.
