The Eaton Cutler-Hammer EHD1020 Circuit Breaker is a Series C, Frame F molded case high interrupting capacity circuit breaker, which provides circuit protection for a wide variety of low voltage applications. This Series C circuit is a member of the F Frame circuit with ratings between 10 to 50 Ampere which is used for High-Intensity Discharge applications, and it is also used for reverse feed wiring. It offers maximum interrupting rating of 14 KAIC at 277 Volt AC, with a continuous trip rating of 20 Amperes and it has a 277 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC maximum application rating. The EHD1020 has a load end only terminal that provides flexibility in installation, and it is HARC rated for use in Air-conditioning, Heating, and Refrigerating applications. This single pole circuit breaker consists of a non-adjustable Trip device (element) which provides trips in the operating mechanism if there is short-circuit or a current overload, and it provides this trip using a bimetal thermal magnetic breaker. The EHD1020 also has a trip-free, quick-make/quick-break operating mechanism which allows the breaker contact to open and close, and it is also designed with an internal DE-ION arc extinguisher which confines and divide the arc drawn between opening thermal-magnetic breaker contact. The EHD1020 is used to provide all-around overload protection for conductors and connected apparatus, such as motors and motor starters. The EHD1020 has a non-derating ambient temperature of 60 degree Celsius, and it has a total installation dimension of 152.4 x 34.8 x 85.7 millimeters with an average weight of 0.9 Kilograms.
