The FD1150 is a molded case circuit breaker made by Cutler-Hammer. The FD1150 is C Series circuit breaker from Eaton which has a long list of popular and diverse products. Fixed magnetic circuit breakers are used whenever there is a chance that the site conditions where the breaker will be used have a chance of interfering with normal machine operations because of thermal overloads, which are a common occurrence in industrial electrical systems. In special cases such as low temperatures that prevent the thermal protection devices from tripping, or situations such as the tripping of the thermal protection devices without an overload due to a high ambient temperature and to environmental moisture, the FD1150 acts as the perfect fail-safe to prevent these problems.
The FD1150 has 2 interruption settings which are 35 kAIC at 277 Volts AC as well as 18 kAIC at 347 Volts AC. The FD1150 is a fixed magnetic type circuit breaker.
