About HFD3100

The HFD3100 is a molded case circuit breaker from Series C that is manufactured by Cutler-Hammer, a division of the Eaton Corporation. It is used to protect electrical circuits from overcurrents. The HFD3100 is 100 Amps rated and its Kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacities (kAIC)  are 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 35 kAIC at 600 Volts AC, and kAIC at 250 Volts DC. This three-pole device is attachable to power sources with voltages of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The HFD3100 is mountable on a DIN rail. This module is generally used with motor control centers, machine tool control panels, switchgear, and feeder pillars. The HFD3100 has safe and reliable components in its design, which enables the best contact in normal device operation and fast opening when a high-current state occurs. Performances like these are achieved by using electromechanical forces started by high-level fault currents.

The HFD3100 will meet all of its users’ requirements for energy-efficient and cost-effective protection of devices and people in electrical power distribution systems. It is up to the users to discover its energy-saving potential and to implement it as they choose in their industrial automation systems for the best possible operation and user experience. The Cutler-Hammer HFD3100 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is shipped at a weight of 4.5 pounds (2 kilograms). Its F-frame sized housing has dimensions of 4.13 inches x 6.00 inches x 3.38 inches (104.3 millimeters x 152.4 millimeters x 85.7 millimeters). The Series C MCCBs, in which the HFD3100 is classified, have IEC approval and they comply with UL standards. The module design includes a range of accessories for its function expansions.
