The GD2030 molded case circuit breaker is designed and manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer and it is part of Series C of the Eaton molded case circuit breaker. This series of products offers a wide range of different protective devices used for various applications in the industry. Most of these circuit breakers are made as complete breakers and they are available with 15 to 50 Amps of continuous amperage ratings at 40 degrees Celsius. These circuit protection components are built to last and built to be reliable at any time. Besides that, the engineers at Eaton made sure that these products are extremely effective and that they reduce costs if they are integrated into a mechanical system. Every system with several electronic components needs proper circuit protection in order to avoid the damage that can be caused by current overloads and short circuits.
The GD2030 circuit breaker has 2 poles and it operates with systems using 480 Volts AC and 125 to 250 Volts DC. Because the Series C circuit breakers come in different variants with different amperage ratings, the continuous amperage rating at 40 degrees Celsius of this model is 30 Amps. The GD2030 is categorized as a complete breaker with a G type of frame. The interrupt rating of this GD breaker is 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and 14 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The operating frequency of the GD2030 is 50 through 60 Hertz. In addition, this circuit breaker also features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip type. This circuit breaker has a standard size and dimensions of 15.87 centimeters (6.25 inches) in length, 7.62 centimeters (3 inches) in height, and 9.52 centimeters (3.75 inches) in width. The GD2030 is lightweight at only 0.63 kilograms or 1.41 pounds. The operating ambient temperature of this circuit breaker should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) according to manufacturer’s specifications, but it should be noted that the device can be used in different temperature ranges if special calibration is done.
