About HJD2100

The HJD2100 is a 2-pole Series C circuit breaker designed and manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The maximum rated operating voltage of the circuit breaker is 600 Volts AC. The HJD2100 features an optional undervoltage release and an optional shunt trip. The circuit breaker employs an adjustable thermal adjustable magnetic trip type. The HJD2100 falls under the molded case subcategory in Eaton’s wide range of circuit breakers. Even with its numerous features, the circuit breaker does not feature a neutral pole, therefore the HJD2100 does not provide neutral protection. The Westinghouse HJD2100 has a rated operating current of 100 Amps and an interrupt rating of 100 Kilo Amperes Interrupt Capacity at a voltage of 240 Volts AC.

Additionally, when the HJD2100 is used to protect a system that operates with a voltage of 480 Volts AC, it has an interrupt rating of 65 Kilo Amperes Interrupt Capacity and it has a 25 Kilo Amperes Interrupt Capacity when operating at its full rated voltage of 600 Volts AC. The HJD2100 has line and load terminals and it conforms to the UL 489 standards. The Eaton HJD2100 molded case circuit breaker is not factory sealed and it allows for the trip unit to be replaced in the field. The circuit breaker is housed in a Type J frame size. The HJD2100 can be used for motor protection purposes. Since the HJD2100 has a J Frame, it accommodates the use of interphase barriers which prevent accidental short-circuiting between 2 adjacent terminals. Additionally, Eaton J Frame circuit breakers can be used within an environment with a maximum ambient temperature of 50 degrees Celsius.
