About JD3150

The JD3150 is a J frame molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The molded case circuit breaker, along with other Eaton models, is HACR-rated. The JD3150 circuit breakers have different components available, ranging from the frame, trip units, and the terminals which can be assembled according to preference or assembled in the factory default mode, giving the equipment flexibility in terms of usage. Users can perform reverse feed use with the J frame’s non-interchangeable trip units. The JD3150 has a current rating of 70 to 250 Amps. The JD3150 is a 3-pole molded circuit breaker which has 150 Amps of maximum continuous current rating at 40 degrees Celsius. This molded case circuit breaker has a standard interrupting capacity of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC.

The added features provided by the JD3150 are an adjustable magnetic trip rated at 5 to 10 times the continuous current rating, components that are packed individually, and a fully rated neutral pole with no protection. The JD3150 has options for different accessories such as line and load terminals to provide the wire connecting capacities for a wide range of continuous current ratings and connectivity to different types of wires. To ensure superior quality, all the terminals comply with the underwriters laboratory standards UL 486A and UL 486B and the CSA Standard C22.2 No. 65 or the Electrical Bulletin 1165 standards. The underwriters for line terminals are not shipped together with the molded case circuit breaker. The maximum rated breaker current is 250 Volts with the standard Cu/ AI pressure terminals with an aluminum body for the line and load terminals.
