The Eaton JDC3225 circuit breaker is a molded case circuit breaker that is designed and manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the Eaton JDC type of molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker features a fixed magnetic trip, 3 poles, 225 Amps of current rating, 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC operating voltage, 200 kAIC of interruption at 240 Volts AC, 100 kAIC of interruption at 480 Volts AC, and it also has the cable in/cable out. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker is housed in a NEMA J Frame enclosure type. If the Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker trips, then the ground fault alarm unit which is remotely installed will light up. The ground fault alarm module needs a separate 120 Volts AC power source to power the light’s energy and the internal relay that has 1 normally open and 1 normally closed contact.
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 molded case circuit breaker features a potential transformer unit that is necessary for the Digitrip OPTIM 1050 feature to provide a voltage input and to enable the trip unit to control the power and energy, including the power factor. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker can be mounted with other JDC types of circuit breakers via the walking beam interlock if the circuit breakers are spaced 6.4 millimeters apart. The Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker has an electrical operator which is mounted on the circuit breaker cover within the trim line of the Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker. The electrical operator utilizes a unique bi-stable latch which enables the Cutler-Hammer JDC3225 circuit breaker to operate using a single solenoid.
