The JT2200T is a JT circuit breaker that belongs to the Series C of circuit breakers by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. This breaker operates with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic mechanism that is able to act faster than regular breakers and to detect a different kind of abnormal current. The function of the Eaton Cutler-Hammer JT2200T JT circuit breaker is to perform a tripping action that will stop any kind of current flow. This tripping action is performed when the abnormal current has been detected, in order to preserve and protect the circuit and all its elements. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JT2200T JT circuit breaker features two poles that are connected, these communicate with each other in order to perform a tripping action at the same time.
Unlike other kinds of protective mechanisms such as fuses, the Eaton Cutler-Hammer JT2200T JT circuit breaker is a multiple time device, it can be put back into operations immediately after having cleared and corrected the fault detected. In order to prolong the life of the Eaton Cutler-Hammer JT2200T JT circuit breaker, it is recommended to use its full rating at its calibration temperature which is 40 degrees Celsius. If it is intended to be used within a higher ambient air temperature the breaker must be derated, the same occurs when used into an enclosure due to the slow heat dissipation. Enclosures with a proper ventilation method are recommended. The Eaton JT2200T JT circuit breaker operates with an ampere rating of 200 Amps.
