The JT2225T is a molded circuit breaker from Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The JT2225T is from the Series C Type JT line of circuit breakers which are manufactured by Eaton. The trip unit has a rated current of 225 Amps maximum and it has a thermal magnetic protection feature. The device has 2 poles and the circuit breakers are HACR rated. The Series C circuit breakers are calibrated to be operated at a temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius and users can even request the unit to be calibrated for use at up to 50 degrees Celsius. Users can also order it to be certified for freeze testing, depending on the application and the location planning they intend the JT2225T for.
When installing the JT2225T, the users must make sure the power to the device is turned off and that there is no power to the system. The wires must be secured and the terminals must be properly tightened to avoid any loose connections and exposed wires. Before turning on the power supply, the users need to make sure the trip unit is set to the off position. This is to ensure there is no accidental power connected to the main system. Once the users have made sure all the connections are made and that the covers are installed, the users can toggle the switch to the on position and so turn on the supply. Verify the proper operation of the device before handing over the system to the customer.
