The DK2400W is a complete molded case circuit breaker. It is manufactured by the Eaton Corporation and classified under the C Series of circuit breakers. The DK2400W is a UL 489 listed device. The UL listing standard indicates a certain level of protection for the service entrance units, the feeder, and the branch circuits. The DK2400W features an interrupt rating of 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC. It also comes with 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC featuring the K Frame type of frame. The amperage rating for the DK2400W is 400 Amps and it is a 2-pole circuit breaker. The module is classified as a DK type circuit breaker with the shunt trip option featured. For the shunt trip rating, the DK2400W features 12 to 24 Volts of voltage on the AC and DC options with a pigtail shunt. The module also features a frequency rating of 50 to 60 Hertz.
The complete breaker comes without terminals. The voltage rating for the DK2400W is 240 Volts AC and it comes with an option for 250 Volts DC. The DK2400W is a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip type of circuit breaker. The Eaton Corporation circuit breakers are HACR-rated. The circuit breakers are available as individual components. These include the frame, the trip unit, and the terminals. Alternatively, these circuit breakers can be purchased as factory assembled complete breakers and they feature the trip units that are non-interchangeable and can be used mostly for reverse feed. The common application areas for these circuit breakers include on the panel switches, on the switchboards, and also on the busway applications.
