The Cutler-Hammer HKD3250T107W circuit breaker’s GFR relay has zone-selective interlocking circuitry which is used for interlocking various relays within the same unit; hence allowing the GFR relay that detects a ground fault to erase the error by tripping the disconnected component instantly. The circuit breaker GFR relay will immediately send a signal to the relay system that is upstream from the fault to time-delay the disconnected device’s reaction or even to stop the disconnected device from running entirely.
