The KD3100 is an Eaton corporation C series complete molded case circuit breaker. The module is UL-listed with the K Frame as the specified Frame Size. It features an interrupt rating of 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and one of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The specified circuit breaker type for the KD3100 is a KD-specified circuit breaker type with a frequency rating of 50 or 60 Hertz. The module also features a complete breaker frame as the circuit breaker frame type. The KD3100 comes with line and load terminals with the maximum voltage rating being 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. The KD3100 also comes with a fixed thermal trip type or also the fixed magnetic trip type. It is a 3-pole module.
The KD3100 belongs to the widest variety of molded case circuit breakers available from Eaton and it has been carefully designed for the electrical and machinery OEMs that are used for a wide range of functionalities in industrial applications. The design is innovative, offering high availability and high reliability. Its current ranges from 15 to 2500 Amps and it is a high-speed blow-open action circuit breaker. The module outperforms the IEEE calculations with a current rating of up to 2500 Amps. The KD3100 comes with the shunt trip option and undervoltage release options, but it has no neutral pole and it does not come with the neutral protection feature. An alarm switch option has been included with the module. The shipping dimensions for the KD3100 are 10.13 inches x 5.5 inches x 4.1 inches with 11 pounds of net weight. The KD3100 features a standard interrupting capacity with feed thru and it comes complete with interchangeable LI-Long side lug terminals.
