The KD3150 is a Cutler-Hammer molded case circuit breaker that is classified under the C Series of circuit breakers. The KD3150 is a UL 489 device and it is used for providing protection on the branch circuit, the service entrance, and also the feeder systems. The KD3150 comes as a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker featuring a current rating of 150 Amps. The KD3150 has various kilo amperes interrupting capacity ratings at different voltages. For 480 Volts AC, the KD3150 has a kAIC rating of 35, at 240 Volts AC, the rating is 65 kAIC, and the rating is 25 kAIC at 600 Volts AC and 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. The KD3150 comes with an optional alarm switch and it features an optional shunt trip and optional undervoltage release. In addition, the KD3150 has the adjustable thermal trip unit and it also features an adjustable magnetic trip unit.
The KD3150 has the UL and the CSA approvals with shipping dimensions of 10.13 inches in height, 5.5 inches in width, and 4.1 inches in length, weighing about 11 pounds per unit. The Cutler Hammer circuit breakers are all HACR-rated and they are sold as separate components and there is an alternative for factory-assembled complete breakers. The KD3150 also features non-interchangeable trip units that are suitable for reverse feed use. Being a UL 489 device, the KD3150 is commonly used in the protection of the busway applications, the motor control centers, the switchboards, and also the panelboards. Ideally, the KD3150 is usable for protecting the systems that carry up to 600 Volts AC voltage or 250 Volts DC as well. The KD3150 has a line and load side lug terminal.
