The KD3400 is a KD type molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit breaker is part of Series C KD Model circuit breakers. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit breaker feature 400 Amps of current rating, three poles contained in the three phases, 250 Volts DC and 600 Volts AC voltage rating, DIN rail and panel mounting, a fixed thermal-magnetic trip, and cable in/cable out and feed-thru connections. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit breaker is contained in a molded case NEMA KD-Frame. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit breaker also features interrupting ratings of 65 kA at 240 Volts AC, 35 kA at 480 Volts AC, 25 kA at 600 Volts AC, and 10 kA at 250 Volts DC (NEMA/ul/csa).

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit breaker consists of load and line side lug terminals that enable good wire connectivity to obtain the required range of continuous current ratings. The inverse delay time constant of the Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit breaker is 3 milliseconds minimum at 10 kA and 8 milliseconds minimum at 22 kA, making it applicable in applications designed for reverse feeds. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD3400 circuit Breakers inverse delay time releases independently of the ambient temperature by the enhancement of the tripping and electronic sensing mechanism.
