About KD3400F

The Cutler-Hammer KD3400F is a Frame for 3-pole circuit breakers with 400 Amps capacity. This spare part is manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The KD3400F includes a plastic casing in which other MCCB hardware elements are put together to form a molded case circuit breaker. This plastic housing is applied on “C” Series MCCBs. At the front side center, there is a handle that is used to manipulate the MCCB from the “TRIP” position to the “OFF” and then to the“ON” position, to restart it after a trip. There is a large hole below the handle to house the setting knob for current protection limit setting. There are also 3 openings at the top and 3 openings at the bottom for accessing the power terminal screws when connecting the wires to the MCCB.

When joined with other MCCB components (the trip unit, rating plug, and terminals), the KD3400F forms either a 125 Amps, 250 Amps, or a 400 Amps rated C Series molded case circuit breaker. That kind of MCCB can be connected at up to 600 Volts AC. When the device is installed, never blow debris into the MCCB. For proper cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner or A lint-free dry cloth. Turn off the power prior to device cleaning to avoid electrical hazards. The Cutler-Hammer KD3400F can hold K-Frame sized MCCB elements. The outer dimensions of it are 10.1 inches x 5.5 inches x 4.1 inches (257.3 millimeters x 149.7 millimeters x 104.1 millimeters). This frame will provide mechanical protection and protection from impact and vibrations to the device’s components. It is designed to work when mounted on a DIN rail in surroundings with an air temperature below 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
