About KT2350T

The KT2350T is a Series C Electronic Molded Case Circuit Breaker Trip Unit designed and manufactured by Cutler-Hammer (a division of the Eaton Corporation). This unit is a thermal-magnetic type that can be installed in a K Frame molded case circuit breaker with standard or with high interrupting capacity. It covers the KD, KG, KDB, KDC, DK, HKD, HKDB, HKDDC, CKD, and the CHKD circuit breaker types. The KT2350 is rated at 350 Amps and it is exclusively used for the Eaton’s Series C MCCBs. It is an interchangeable trip unit that users can remove from their circuit breaker housing if there are changes in their system capacity that calls for this kind of action. The module is UL certified and it concurs with all the safety directions from authorities.

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KT2350T features a high-speed tripping action that sends a mechanical movement to the molded case circuit breaker that uses it to open its contacts. This is a 2-pole device, so there are 2 conductive rails on both sides of this trip unit that are inserted in the molded case circuit breaker frame. These conductive rails serve to conduct the current of the same intensity through this mechanism, as is the case with the MCCB. The KT2350 is specially designed to have 2 red rotating screws on the front side of the unit that serve as a user interface for setting the magnetic trip values. It is widely accepted as a protective mechanism for switchboards, panels, and OEMs machinery. It is applied in 600 Volts AC rated applications and in DC circuits too. Its way of integration into the MCCB frames has been popular with users in the industrial automation field for many years.
