The Eaton Cutler-Hammer LD2450 is a molded case circuit breaker with an L Frame and a standard interrupting capacity. It is a thermal-magnetic circuit breaker with interchangeable trip units. Its purpose is to save the electric circuits from damage from overcurrents and voltage fluctuations. The LD2450 is a factory assembled MCCB with terminals on both sides included. This circuit breaking device has the LD line type and it belongs to Series C of Eaton’s circuit breakers. It comes with 2 poles and 450 Amps of current rating. The current rating has been calibrated at 40 degrees Celsius. If the device is operating at higher temperatures, then users should use it only in systems with slightly lower amperage ratings. The voltage supply required for this MCCB is dual-rated for 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The interruption capacity at 480 Volts AC is 35 kAIC.
Trip units that are installed inside of the Eaton LD2450 can be changed, but this is the type of molded case circuit breaker in which magnetic and thermal trip values cannot be changed. Line and load terminals on the device are made of aluminum. To install this device in control panels, the users will use a bolt-on connection. The LD2450 comes with a specially designed lever to manually activate or deactivate the circuit breaker. Below this operating lever, there is a red switch (push-to-trip button) used for checking the circuit breaker’s functionality. The device fulfills all the relevant international standards when it comes to safety in industrial environments. The product is HARC-rated and it performs exceptionally well in factory environments.
